How to Approach the AI Curriculum in Teaching
Webinars in the AI Curriculum for Elementary and Secondary Schools series are designed to explain the concept behind the Curriculum and to support the use of the teaching materials.
AI Curriculum Framework
In the introductory webinar of the AI Curriculum series, we will clearly present its framework. We'll explain the background behind its development and introduce the different sections of the curriculum. We’ll walk you through the learning progress map and its connection to the national curriculum. You’ll also get a quick overview of selected teaching materials. The webinar is hosted by Eva Necasova and Iva Bohmova from NPI.
AI in Media Literacy
The second webinar offers a practical look at how to approach artificial intelligence within media literacy. We’ll explore topics such as recommendation systems on social networks and their social impact, emotion recognition from texts, videos, and images, the transformation of online spaces into synthetic reality, deepfakes, fake nudes, cybersecurity, and more. The webinar is hosted by Eva Necasova and Tom Titera.
AI in STEM
This webinar is intended for teachers who want to bring innovative, AI-powered approaches into science and mathematics education. Participants will learn how AI helps students better understand natural phenomena and develop critical thinking. We’ll share practical examples and teaching strategies for integrating AI into science and math lessons. Hosted by Eva Necasova and Kacka Cihakova.
AI in Humanities
This webinar is designed for teachers of the humanities who wish to incorporate innovative approaches using AI. Participants will explore how AI can help students better understand complex topics, work with data, and develop critical thinking. The session includes hands-on demonstrations and practical guidance for integrating AI into the humanities. Hosted by Eva Necasova and Petra Dovhunova.
AI in Computer Science in Elementary Schools
This webinar introduces a comprehensive concept for teaching AI in elementary-level computer science. Nine teaching materials offer story-based lessons and hands-on activities with the robots Hoo and Ray, who want to help people but often get things hilariously wrong. Through these materials, children explore key concepts such as data, machine learning, bias, large language models, and ambient intelligence. Hosted by Bara Karpiskova and Eva Necasova.
AI in Computer Science in Secondary Schools
This webinar presents a comprehensive educational concept for teaching AI in middle and high school computer science, structured into three levels. The recommended entry point is the interactive story William & Meriwether. To deepen understanding, students can work with cards—teaching materials covering key AI concepts. For those seeking more advanced learning, the project-based textbook Machine Learning for Kids is available. Hosted by Eva Necasova and Radek Spata.
AI in Project Methodologies
This webinar introduces project-based teaching strategies that use generative AI to improve life at school. We’ll show you how to plan and implement such projects, try out chatbots, worksheets from the Chatbots at School set, and explore a hackathon focused on building AI assistants and working with Canva. Hosted by Eva Necasova and Bara Karpiskova.
