Artificial intelligence curriculum for primary and secondary schools

AI in Informatics at Secondary and Secondary School

Dataset

Card 01 from the Machine Learning deck

Dataset

The Dataset methodology opens the package with a machine learning theme. It deals with the preparation of data from which artificial intelligence systems learn. In the activity, students play an alien detective agency. Their task is to find out which alien family a little foundling who suddenly appears in their village belongs to.

Dataset

What pupils learn

The dataset is data prepared for training artificial intelligence systems.

Why is it taught

Goal for the Machine Learning deck of cards: Critically assess the decision making of AI systems.

How do we know if they've learned

Students will explain the concept of a dataset and describe the process of creating one.

Outputs of the RVP

Data, Information, and Modeling
I-9-1-04 assesses whether the model has all the data needed to solve the problem; locates the error in the model and corrects it

Bloom's taxonomy

Memorization: Students learn about the concept of a dataset and its meaning.
Analysis: Students distinguish attributes in different classes of aliens and determine which key features were critical in classifying the find.
